Frequently Asked Questions

In-Person Workshop Questions

What can I expect at an Art4Healing® in-person workshop?

An Art4Healing® workshop allows participants to get in touch with inner feelings that many times words cannot express. A facilitator leads participants through a series of prompts as they respond by painting abstractly with acrylic colors on canvas. The method helps participants express their feelings in a safe way by associating a color with a feeling. Each participant takes home 3 completed paintings at the end of the workshop.

Do I need previous experience?

NO! Previous art experience isn’t necessary! Some workshops require you to have taken a previous Art4Healing workshop, but you do not have to be an artist to create with us.

Where are your in-person workshops?

Workshops are held at our Southern California studio:

23011 Moulton Parkway
Suite I-5
Laguna Hills, CA 92653

We’ve included a map below for your convenience.

For studio workshops, all art supplies are included, and each workshop is $55 unless noted otherwise.

Live online workshops are $39 and DO NOT include suppplies.

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing you wouldn’t mind getting paint on—don’t worry, we’ll provide an apron!

Will I take home some art?

Participants will be able to create and take home 3 paintings – all done with acrylic paint on canvas. The Art4Healing® method teaches participants a way to say things with color and paint when there are no words.

Group Workshop Testimonial

“My wife was turning 40 and I wanted to do something special for her so I invited 10 of our closest friends to celebrate my wife’s birthday by participating in an Art & Creativity for Healing workshop. We had a great night and we went to eat dinner afterwards. It was a wonderful experience for my wife to keep paintings created especially for her by people she loves.”

Like Going Back to Preschool

I have attended several Art4Healing workshops and they have all been GREAT! They are fun, relaxing, enlightening, and totally cathartic. Don’t worry if you’re not an artist–it’s like going back to preschool, just having fun with colors. I always learn something new about myself, and leave feeling so much better. Try this unique experience and see for yourself!

Great Way to Virtually Connect

These virtual Zoom workshops have been very helpful and also convenient to allow people from all over the country and globe to connect with each other. I remember getting to paint with participants who logged in from Texas, Georgia, and more. I highly recommend for virtual Zoom meetings to continue as a virtual option even after this pandemic is finally over. Virtual Art4Healing workshops are such a great way to connect long-distance from home. These virtual meetings have also helped me socialize after being in lockdown for more than a year. Great call Art4Healing for hosting these wonderful virtual workshops!
